Tengai Makyo On Dreamcast?

Vactical Entertainment has snatched up Elemental Gimmick Gear, and is planning to release it in the U.S. sometime next year.

For those that are not aware, Elemental Gimmick Gear was a rather obscure Dreamcast title in which you control mechs in a quest to save a bunch of people, who happen to think you are their savior.

It never did have any substantial impact in Japan. But perhaps it will be a better commercial success here in the RPG hungry States.

Red Company and Hudson Soft have announced the possibility of making a new Tengai Makyo title on the Dreamcast. Apparently the developers were surprised by the revival of the Phantasy Star series by Sega, and this led them to idea of creating a new Tengai game. They have yet to start developing the title though. Their current projects, such as the upcoming slew of Sakura Taisen titles, are currently occupying their time.

That doesn't mean it can't happen eventually. Considering how long the Tengai Makyo series has been running, and how many platforms it has crossed, there is a good possibilty for its development. I mean come on, they even made a spin off game based off of one character. There is even a Tengai Makyo fighter out there. So this hardly seems impossible...
