Lots of Phantasy Star Reviews

I was finally able to catch up a bit on the reviews today so I did all of the Phantasy Star reviews I had in my mailbox.

The first is a review of Phantasy Star 2. This game was responsible for me buying a Genesis despite the fact that I didn't have any money. I just HAD to get this game after playing the brilliant Phantasy Star on the Master System. I was not disapointed and this game remains one of my favorite of all time. The second one is a review of Phantasy Star 3 which is regarded by the majority as the worst of the 4 Phantasy Star games. The reason for that is because Phantasy Star 3 does not feel like a Phantasy Star title. It seems more like a "gaiden" of sort (side-story) because the settings, the battles and a lot of other things are very different from all the other games in the series. Although it is a disapointing game for most Phantasy Star fans, it is still a pretty good RPG in its own respect with a lot of innovations like multiple endings and the fact that it spends 3 generations and gives you the choice of choosing your wives which will result in a different character in the next generation. This see a reader review of it, click here.

We also have 2 reader reviews for Phantasy Star 4. Although shorter than the other Phantasy Star games, this one has more character development (the characters actually talk to each other in this one) and the addition of static anime pictures in the story sequences really add to the feel of the game in my opinion. It's also the game that ties up all the loose ends of the series and it feels pretty much like the end of the series because nothing is left unexplained and the ending pretty much doesn't give much opening for another sequel (unless they decide to make a prequel).
