Overall RPG of the Year - Dragon Age: Origins
For the best game of the year, there was no question among the staff which game was going to win. It got almost unanimous votes for the award and it is easy to see why. Bioware, a master of their craft, has made arguably another masterpiece by going back to their roots, the PC medieval fantasy RPG. Dragon Age had memorable characters, a challenging quest, some of the best voice acting we've heard from a videogame, a gripping story, and moral choices that make Fallout 3 and Fable II look like childs play in comparison. Dragon Age isn't for everyone, and we know that, but those who give it a chance will probably find that it was the finest crafted RPG experience of the year and a worthy spiritual successor to the Baldurs Gate series. If you haven't played this game yet, waste no more time and hop into the world of Ferelden.
