RPGFan's Games of E3 2006
Best Overall Game of E3 2006
Valkyrie Profile 2: Silmeria Valkyrie Profile 2: Silmeria - A lot of us here at RPGFan love tri-Ace. They proved to us that we have reason to continue to do so with Valkyrie Profile 2: Silmeria on the show floor. Featuring a brand new hybrid turn-based/real-time battle engine, absolutely gorgeous graphics, and a story that looks like it will hold up the original game, Valkyrie Profile 2: Silmeria should be set for any fan who enjoyed the first game, or even any RPGs at all. Valkyrie Profile 2: Silmeria is set for a release in September of 2006.
Best PC Game of E3 2006
Hellgate: London Hellgate: London - I could've just left what we had from last year here, but I won't. Hellgate: London is still the best PC game on the floor, with its amazing graphics, superb randomization engine, and addictive gameplay. While the focus on the show floor was more on the setup of the game itself, with its socketing system and how to move about the world itself, it still showed us why we're devoted to Bill Roper and his team at Flagship Studios with such a passion. While Hellgate: London doesn't have a set release date, we're sure it's going to crush whatever it goes up against upon its release.
Best Console Game of E3 2006
Rogue Galaxy Rogue Galaxy - Level 5's most recent RPG is aimed to please US fans. It was already looking great, but with the most recent announcement that the American version will have plenty of added content and changes for the better, who can resist?

Rogue Galaxy is an Action RPG, and you are a space pirate looking for a hidden treasure on the equally-hidden planet Eden. The gameplay allows you to control one character, with the others running on a sophisticated AI system. Powerful combo attacks are a highlight in the game's addictive battle system.

Though there were plenty of console RPGs shown this year at E3, we had to agree that, besides VP2, this one is really a top-notch title.
