Music of the Year 2016
February 25, 2017

Okay, you've seen our Games of the Year 2016 feature already, so you knew what was coming next: Our fifth annual Music of the Year celebration!

One of our goals with RPGFan Music and Rhythm Encounter is to spread the word of good music. How much of your own favorite music found its way into your collection by way of a friend's recommendation? With 11 RPGFan Editors writing about their favorite sounds of 2016, and even more people talking about it on our trio of special edition Rhythm Encounter podcasts, you're sure to have a few of your own discoveries. And if you're able to find some new favorites, or even want to share your own with us, tell us about it!

One final and typical note before you dive in: As much as all of us at RPGFan love putting together Music of the Year, our annual Rhythm Encounter episodes are extra special because of the contributions of some key "offsite" guests. We're always grateful to have RPGamer Editor-in-Chief Michael "Mac" Cunningham and VGMOnline's Japanese Coverage Leader Don Kotowski as special guests on our Second Movement show. These guys are longtime, permanent "Friends of the Show," and their willingness to spend some time with us makes for a more special Special Feature, year after year.
